CYM this week

Dear Parents,

A couple of reminders about this week at CYMH.

• The centre will run as normal this Saturday 23rd October.
• If your child has a loaned instrument, you must come into the centre to sign the agreement with the instrumental coaches. 
• The Music Box at CYMH forms have been sent out this week - so if you have young children and would like to participate you must return the forms to Missy or to HMDT during the week. 
• You can sign up for Parents' Tasters this week at CYMH!

New term

Dear Parents and Students

We hope that you are well settled into the new term at CYM, and looking forward to a busy term. 
Thank you to all the parents who managed to come to the Induction on the opening day of term, we hope you felt it was a valuable session.

Just a few important points to remember:

• There is NO CYM this Saturday 16th October and 23rd October. Please don't forget!
• The fee deadlines have now past. If you are a full-fee paying student you must pay a £25.00 late fee in addition to your fees.
• If you now know that you have been awarded a bursary or subsidy your fees are now due.
• Instrumental Loan Agreements must be signed by parents with the instrumental coaches either on  23rd October or 6th November. This means you need to come into the centre, in order to sign the agreement.

MUSIC BOX 
The new Music Box programme for under 5s is due to start after half term on 6th November. The programme consists of a 45 minute session for you and your child, to explore music with a guest artist each week, during the CYM timetable at Bsix.
The Music Box fees for a ten-week term are:

• £50.00 non-CYM parents
• £40.00 for CYM parents
• £20.00 bursaries available (restricted number)

This term the fees will be less as it begins mid-term, we will be sending more information soon.

FEE DEADLINES!

Dear all

Thank you very much to all of you who have paid fees promptly, and if you are new, for signing up to the Blog. 

Red,Yellow and Green groups have been the best at paying upfront so thank you very much. Thank you to Blue parents who HAVE paid already!  If you haven't paid yet, please do so immediately to avoid the late fee. 

The deadline is Monday 20th September, after which there is a £10 late fee.
Remember, if you pay AFTER term starts on 2nd October, there is a £25 late fee.

Instruments
Please also remember to pay your instrument loan fees where appropriate.  If your child is in the first year of Yellow group, you don't get an instrument until January 2011 so your instrument fee is not yet due.

Hello all!

Welcome and welcome back - we hope you had great summer holidays.  If you have just signed up to the CYM Blog, thank you!  We hope you have all received in the post your child's report from 2009-10 or if your child is new to CYMH, some key information for your first year at the Centre.  Term dates and fees as well as other important information can be found all year round at http://www.hmdt.org.uk/musiccentre_cymh_1.html

First day back: Saturday 2nd October 2010

Deadline for Autumn Term fees:  Monday 20th September 2010
Fees AND instrument loans must be paid BEFORE each term starts.
You can pay online now or send a cheque to us at: HMDT, Technology & Learning Centre, 1 Reading Lane, London E8 1GQ. 

FULL FEES
Red, Yellow and Green students: £80 per term (£240 whole year)
Blue students: £100 per term (£300 whole year)

SUBSIDIES (Eligible to apply if your household has an annual income of £18,000 or less):
Red, Yellow and Green students: £55 per term (£165 whole year)
Blue students: £65 per term (£195 whole year)

BURSARIES (Eligible to apply if your household receives income support or income-based Jobseeker’s allowance):
All bursary students: £20 per term (£60 whole year)

INSTRUMENT LOAN FEES: £25 per year

LATE FEES: are now £10 if you pay later than 20th September but before /on the first day of term and £25 if you pay after - please don't get caught out!

End of Term!

Dear All,

The term is drawing to a close and summer is upon us!

A couple of reminders before CYM closes for the holidays:

• 24th of July is the deadline for ALL late fee payments. (This includes the term fee plus a £15 late fee.)

• 26th of July is the deadline for Returning Students Forms. This is very important as your responses allow us to schedule properly for the new year.

• CYM Summer Concert:

On 24th July, all lessons as normal until 12pm when there will be an end of year concert. The concert is free, and will start at 12pm in the Theatre and will be about 2 hours:
First half - Reds and Yellows

Second half - Greens and Blues

Tutors will let students know in advance if they are involved or not in the concert.

Seats are first come first served, and parents will only be allowed in the theatre from 12pm.

End of Term!

1) End of term - The last CYM date this year is Saturday 24th July 2010!

On 24th July, all lessons as normal until 12pm when there will be an end of year concert. The concert is free, will start at 12pm in the Theatre and will be about 2 hours:

2) Auditions for Blue places

We do not know yet how many Blue places there will be, so Green 2 students may need to prepare an audition piece for September.  We will update you on this when we know the situation with places.

3) Coming back to the Centre

you will shortly receive a letter from us with an attached slip for you to return by post to us letting us know whether you are staying on at the Centre next year. It is VITAL that you reply to us by Monday 26th July 2010, because it affects all planning and timetables for September.  Thanks very much!

4) Outstanding fees

Whether for term fees or instruments, these are now long overdue. Please make paymetns by Saturday 24th July 2010 latest and remember the £15 late fee applies per student.
