End of Term!

Dear All,

The term is drawing to a close and summer is upon us!

A couple of reminders before CYM closes for the holidays:

• 24th of July is the deadline for ALL late fee payments. (This includes the term fee plus a £15 late fee.)

• 26th of July is the deadline for Returning Students Forms. This is very important as your responses allow us to schedule properly for the new year.

• CYM Summer Concert:

On 24th July, all lessons as normal until 12pm when there will be an end of year concert. The concert is free, and will start at 12pm in the Theatre and will be about 2 hours:
First half - Reds and Yellows

Second half - Greens and Blues

Tutors will let students know in advance if they are involved or not in the concert.

Seats are first come first served, and parents will only be allowed in the theatre from 12pm.

1) End of term - The last CYM date this year is Saturday 24th July 2010!

2) Auditions for Blue places

We do not know yet how many Blue places there will be, so Green 2 students may need to prepare an audition piece for September.  We will update you on this when we know the situation with places.

3) Coming back to the Centre

you will shortly receive a letter from us with an attached slip for you to return by post to us letting us know whether you are staying on at the Centre next year. It is VITAL that you reply to us by Monday 26th July 2010, because it affects all planning and timetables for September.  Thanks very much!

4) Outstanding fees

Whether for term fees or instruments, these are now long overdue. Please make paymetns by Saturday 24th July 2010 latest and remember the £15 late fee applies per student.

Concert running order and final reminders!

For those of you who don't want to buy a Spitalfields programme, here is a link to the running order for the concert on Saturday, and you can print or write it down! Sorry if this seems silly, but quick reminders again for your children:

• MUSIC

• INSTRUMENT (GREEN & BLUE)

• SLIP OF PAPER WITH NAME ON IN INSTRUMENT CASE (there will be 80 or so cases in the church!)

• LUNCH

• GAME/BOOK (in case it rains and everyone is in the church)

• CORRECT DRESS CODE (plain coloured tops and black bottoms for Red/Yellow and smart white tops/shirts and black bottoms for Green/Blue)

• ARRIVAL – Remember Blue 9AM, Green 10.15am, Red/Yellow 11.30am.

 It’s going to be terrific!

Please remember CYMH fees are due before or at latest, on Saturday 1st May 2010 to avoid the £15 late fee (for online payments please ensure you pay before 12pm on 1st May, because the website will automatically add the £15 late fee thereafter).

£90 for Blue and £70 for all other groups
£55 for Blue Subs and £45 for all other Subs
£10 Bursaries
£25 instrument loans

Instrument loan fees

Hello

I hope you've all had wonderful Easter holidays and really hope that none of you are stuck somewhere.

I wish I was blogging with something fun but I'm afraid it's the instrument loan fees again.

If your child has use of a CYMH instrument and you haven't paid your £25 for the year's loan, you must do so by Saturday 1st May 2010 (that gives you 2 Saturdays) to avoid getting in trouble.

Summer Term: Please remember next term starts on 24th April.

Summer Fees: Due by 12pm, Saturday 1st May to avoid £15 late fee -  remember, £70 Junior, £90 Senior

Instrument Fees: There are a huge number of outstanding instrument fees.  If you haven't yet paid yours, please send us a cheque for £25 immediately, made payable to HMDT.

CYM and Mobius concert, 12th June, Shoreditch Church: Remember, rehearsal on 12th June is at the church NOT BSix. Remember changes to normal CYM on 8th and 22nd May:

8th May 2010:
9:00am - 10:30am Red and Yellow Choirs rehearse with Mobius in the Theatre
10:40am - 12:00pm Blue Orchestra rehearse with Mobius in the Theatre
12:10pm - 1:00pm Green Ensemble rehearse with Mobius in the Theatre (Blue have lunch)
1:00pm - 1:20pm Green and Mobius have lunch
1:20pm - 1:40pm Green Ensemble play through with Mobius in the Theatre
1:40pm - 2:10pm Blue Orchestra to play through with Mobius in the Theatre

22nd May 2010:
9:30am – 10:40am Red and Yellow groups with Sally in the Theatre
10.30am – 11.10am Blue Orchestra with Sally in the Theatre
11.10am – 12.40am Green Ensemble with Sally in the Theatre


Well done to all students who took exams on 27th March - we hope they went brilliantly.
