Update

Dear Parents and Students

We'd like to thank you very much for your patience while we have changed the timetable in order to find the best possible combinations. We think we're finally close now!


CONCERT
On Saturday 12th February there will be an informal concert, involving Green and Blue students in the lunch break at CYM. This is from 11.40 - 12.10pm.

FOLDERS
In the beginning-of-term meeting Caroline discussed the introduction of folders at CYM. We would very much like for your children to get into the habit of bringing a folder each Saturday, containing all their music and practise sheets for isntrumental lessons. The folders are available to buy for £1 at the front desk, from Barry or me. 


HALF TERM
A reminder that the half term break this year will be on Saturday 19th February.

OFF TIMETABLE DAY
We would like to have a day off timetable day one Saturday. This would allow the children the opportunity to take group classes and master classes from different teachers covering a wide range of musical activities.
We had originally intended to have an off-timetable day on 26th February, but to maximise the potential for this day we have decided to move it to later in the term, hopefully to the day when ABRSM exams take place at the centre, so no lessons will be missed by any students.

New term

Dear Parents

We are looking forward to a new term and welcoming Caroline Welsh, our new Director of Music.
We would very much like for you and your children to meet Caroline and the tutors this Saturday. The meetings are as follows for different year groups:

Red and Yellow          10.00-10.30
Green and Blue          10.40-11.10

TIMETABLE
There have been some timetable changes this year. You should have received details of these changes in the post. Here is a basic list of time within the centre for each year group:

Red 1          9.00-10.00
Red 2          9.00-10.30
Yellow 1     9.00-10.30
Yelllow 2    9.00-10.30
Green 1      10.00-12.40
Green 2      10.40-13.10
Blue           10.30 start. End time varies

FEES
If you have not paid your fees already, they will now have incurred a £10.00 late fee. After close of business at CYM on Saturday the fee will increase to £25.00 so PLEASE pay your outstanding fees on Saturday!

PARENT'S CHOIR!

The Parent's Choir is official!
After rave reviews last week, we are proud to announce that Michael Solomon Williams will be running a Parent's Choir each Saturday of CYM from 9.30 - 10.00 am.
The session will take place in B132  and you don't need ANY previous singing experience. (We can accomodate 20 people.)
We don't want to charge a fee for the choir, so the suggested donation is £2.00 per session which goes directly towards funding bursaries for CYM students.

Please do drop in, you'll be hooked!

HALF TERM

Just a reminder that there is NO CYM this week! I hope everyone is having a wonderful break.

The Parent Tasters session will be next week 6th November at 9.30am with Michael and at 10.40am with Jessie. Please do join us!

CYM this week

Dear Parents,

A couple of reminders about this week at CYMH.

• The centre will run as normal this Saturday 23rd October.
• If your child has a loaned instrument, you must come into the centre to sign the agreement with the instrumental coaches. 
• The Music Box at CYMH forms have been sent out this week - so if you have young children and would like to participate you must return the forms to Missy or to HMDT during the week. 
• You can sign up for Parents' Tasters this week at CYMH!

New term

Dear Parents and Students

We hope that you are well settled into the new term at CYM, and looking forward to a busy term. 
Thank you to all the parents who managed to come to the Induction on the opening day of term, we hope you felt it was a valuable session.

Just a few important points to remember:

• There is NO CYM this Saturday 16th October and 23rd October. Please don't forget!
• The fee deadlines have now past. If you are a full-fee paying student you must pay a £25.00 late fee in addition to your fees.
• If you now know that you have been awarded a bursary or subsidy your fees are now due.
• Instrumental Loan Agreements must be signed by parents with the instrumental coaches either on  23rd October or 6th November. This means you need to come into the centre, in order to sign the agreement.

MUSIC BOX 
The new Music Box programme for under 5s is due to start after half term on 6th November. The programme consists of a 45 minute session for you and your child, to explore music with a guest artist each week, during the CYM timetable at Bsix.
The Music Box fees for a ten-week term are:

• £50.00 non-CYM parents
• £40.00 for CYM parents
• £20.00 bursaries available (restricted number)

This term the fees will be less as it begins mid-term, we will be sending more information soon.
